A plane of concrete stretches out under the blazing sun of Accra. Ramps and slopes are grazed by a bright yellow that finds its match on the wall of a small building overlooking the area. The word “Freedom” is written in bold letters just above the door. This makes up the grounds of Freedom SkatePark, Ghana’s first official Skatepark, and a nurture ground for creativity and community. In full use since its opening in December last year, this video kickstarted the crowdfunding campaign and shows the early stages of the project.
